Salary Range $50,000 - $80,000 with the higher range for those with the most experience and education.

The REDS Montessori Floater supports the daily functioning of the school by assisting multiple classrooms and programs as needed. Working collaboratively with guides, assistant guides and the REDS administrative team, the Floater helps maintain continuity, order and care across the school’s learning environments. The Floater contributes to the prepared environment, supervision of children, and smooth transitions throughout the day, while supporting classroom teams in maintaining Montessori standards of respect, independence and community. This role requires adaptability, attentiveness and a collaborative spirits, as the Floater may work in different classrooms and school spaces throughout the day. The Floater serves as a positive role model for children, demonstrating patience, kindness and professionalism in all interactions.
Key responsibilities
- Working within each classroom according to the procedures and expectations established by the classroom’s Guide.
- Supporting the preparation of the classrooms including the making of learning materials and various cleaning tasks.
- Assisting with arrival and dismissal transitions, lunch and playground coverage.
- Providing faculty coverage throughout the school day as well as in the case of an absence.
- Ensure outdoor play is safe, joyful, and prosocial.
